French tapestry fragment Restoration

This work was created for the exhibition “Kintsugi” at Agripas 12 Gallery in Jerusalem.

Instead of performing an invisible restoration, I chose to emphasize the damaged areas of the tapestry using silver and gold threads.
These metallic threads trace the scars and losses, transforming them into luminous elements that celebrate imperfection rather than conceal it.
The restoration thus becomes a dialogue between fragility and resilience — a reflection of the Japanese philosophy of Kintsugi, where beauty is found in repair and continuity.
