"Winter" as a diploma work in Artist College
art“Winter” as a diploma work in Artist College
When I began creating the cartoon for my diploma work at the art college, I found myself thinking about the relationship between the small world and the large world — how the same forms and patterns echo in both.
For example, the structure of a leaf resembles a tree; the veins of a leaf mirror the branching of trunks and limbs. Nature repeats itself endlessly, from the tiniest details to the vast landscapes around us.
In this weaving, I wanted to explore that connection — to show one leaf within which there are trees and branches, and even a touch of snow resting lightly on them.
The palette is quiet, full of earth tones and winter light. It’s a meditation on scale and reflection — how the world folds into itself, and how something small can hold the memory of something infinite.
